District Insurance Representative

Position Summary:

The District Insurance Representative serves as the liaison between clubs and Rotary International to provide risk management guidance and facilitate the district’s insurance program. This role administers licenses, policies, and compliance education to protect Rotarians.

Reports To:

District Governor

Term:

One year, renewable

Key Responsibilities:

·         Educate clubs on insurance requirements, risk management, and safety/security best practices.

·         Ensure club compliance with insurance guidelines for events and activities.

·         Manage the certificate of insurance request process for district events and club activities requiring additional insured protection.

·         Assist clubs in reporting and handling liability claims covered under Rotary’s program.

·         Serve as the communication conduit between clubs and Rotary International on insurance issues.

·         Promote risk management resources and training opportunities to club leaders.

·         Maintain knowledge of the coverages, limitations, and exclusions of Rotary’s insurance program.

Requirements:

·         Insurance industry knowledge and experience managing programs/policies.

·         Strong communication and educational skills.

·         Well-organized with the ability to handle time-sensitive requests.

·         Proficient with virtual communication platforms.
