District Learning Facilitation Committee Chair

Position Summary:

The Learning Facilitation Committee Chair plays a central role in enhancing the educational opportunities within the district, helping to strengthen club leadership and member knowledge. This collaborative position involves working closely with the district leadership team to coordinate educational workshops, facilitate the Club Leadership Academy programs, and make the most of Rotary's online resources.

 

By providing structured learning sessions and valuable resources, the chairperson supports the growth and development of Rotary clubs, empowering members to succeed and contribute effectively to the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Educational Planning: Develop a comprehensive learning and development strategy for the district in alignment with Rotary International's educational objectives.

·         Workshop Coordination: Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and webinars on various aspects of Rotary Club leadership and operations.

·         Resource Management: Utilize and promote Rotary’s online learning tools, ensuring that club members are aware of and can access these resources.

·         Curriculum Development: Work with a team to create engaging and informative content for the Club Leadership Academy programs.

·         Learning Sessions: Coordinate and schedule club learning sessions, and ensure they are effectively communicated and well-attended.

·         Team Leadership: Lead the Learning Facilitation Committee, setting goals, delegating tasks, and fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous learning.

·         Feedback Analysis: Gather and analyze feedback from learning sessions to continually improve the educational offerings.

·         Technology Integration: Embrace and integrate technology to facilitate learning, including virtual platforms for remote education.

Requirements:

·         Rotary Experience: Prior involvement with Rotary and a good understanding of its structure and programs.

·         Technological Proficiency: Comfort with technology and online learning platforms, and willingness to learn the mechanisms of www.rotary.org.

·         Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and coordinate a team.

·         Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information in an accessible manner.

·         Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple educational initiatives.

·         Innovation: Creativity in developing educational content and finding solutions to enhance the learning experience.
