District Membership Committee Chair

Position Summary:

The District Membership Committee Chair plays a key role in fostering the growth and sustainability of Rotary membership within the district. This collaborative position involves working closely with club leaders to develop and implement strategic plans for recruitment, orientation, and member training initiatives.

 

As a guiding force in promoting Rotary’s mission, the Membership Committee Chair helps create an inclusive and supportive environment where every member can thrive and actively contribute to the organization’s goals. Through teamwork and shared commitment, this role ensures that Rotary clubs continue to grow and flourish within the district.

Term:

One year, renewable

Key Responsibilities:

·         Recruitment: Work with clubs to identify and implement effective recruitment methods that attract a diverse and engaged membership.

·         Orientation and Training: Facilitate the development of orientation and training resources to ensure new members are effectively integrated into clubs.

·         Retention Strategies: Advise clubs on best practices for member engagement and retention.

·         Lead Management: Oversee the process of handling membership leads received from Rotary International, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.

·         Data Analysis: Monitor membership trends within the district and provide reports to the District Governor and club leaders.

·         Committee Leadership: Lead the Membership Committee, assigning tasks and ensuring that members work cohesively towards shared goals.

Requirements:

·         Rotary Experience: Some experience with Rotary recruiting at the club level is essential.

·         Knowledge of Training Tools: Awareness of the training tools available for new member orientation.

·         Passion for Growth: A strong interest in expanding Rotary membership and a commitment to the organization's values.

·         Leadership: Ability to inspire and work collaboratively with club leaders and committee members.

·         Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with current and potential members.

·         Problem-solving: Capacity to address challenges creatively and constructively.
