District Membership Committee Member

Position Summary:

A Rotary District Membership Committee Member supports the District Membership Chair in developing and executing the district's strategy for membership growth and retention. This role involves direct engagement with Rotary clubs within the district to encourage innovative membership initiatives, promote best practices in member engagement and satisfaction, and support clubs in their efforts to expand and diversify their membership.

Term:

One year, renewable

Key Responsibilities:

One or more of the following:

·         Support Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of a district-wide membership growth strategy in line with Rotary International's membership objectives.

·         Assist with Recruitment: Collaborate with clubs to identify and implement effective recruitment methods that attract a diverse and engaged membership.

·         Aid in Orientation and Training: Help develop and disseminate orientation and training materials to welcome and integrate new members into clubs effectively.

·         Contribute to Retention: Share best practices for member engagement and retention with club leaders.

·         Lead Management Assistance: Support the process of managing membership leads from Rotary International, ensuring responses are prompt and effective.

·         Data Collection and Reporting: Help monitor and analyze membership trends within the district and assist in preparing reports for the District Governor and club leaders.

·         Committee Involvement: Actively participate in Membership Committee meetings, contributing to task assignments and supporting the cohesive effort towards membership goals.

Requirements:

·         Rotary Experience: Involvement with Rotary, preferably with some exposure to recruiting or club activities.

·         Familiarity with Training Tools: Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the training tools available for new member orientation.

·         Passion for Rotary: A genuine interest in promoting Rotary membership and upholding the organization's values.

·         Team Collaboration: Willingness to work in concert with club leaders, committee members, and the District Membership Chair.

·         Communication: Good communication skills for engaging with current and potential members.

·         Problem-Solving Attitude: Ability to approach challenges with creativity and a constructive mindset.
