District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair

Position Summary:

The District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair provides leadership and strategic oversight for all fundraising, grant management, and financial stewardship activities related to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) within the district. This pivotal role involves motivating committee members, developing fundraising strategies, ensuring responsible grant allocation, and serving as an ambassador for TRF.

The chair will maximize TRF's impact through effective fundraising, grant-making, and overall management of TRF resources within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Committee Leadership: Lead, motivate, and direct the District Foundation Committee members in executing their roles and responsibilities.

·         Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute annual and long-term fundraising plans to meet district goals for TRF giving.

·         Donor Relationships: Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, clubs, and other partners to build support for TRF.

·         Grant Oversight: Provide oversight for all TRF grants, ensuring they align strategically with TRF objectives and comply with all policies.

·         Financial Management: Ensure proper controls and procedures are in place to guarantee responsible financial stewardship of all TRF donations and funds.

·         Advocacy and Promotion: Serve as a spokesperson for TRF, promoting its mission and impact through public speaking, written communications, and networking.

·         Collaboration: Foster collaboration between district committees to maximize Rotary's impact through the effective use of TRF grants and programs.

·         Reporting: Compile reports on progress and achievements related to TRF activities within the district.

·         Resource Management: Leverage TRF staff and online resources to equip clubs with the tools needed for successful fundraising and grants.

Requirements:

·         Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and manage complex projects.

·         Financial Acumen: Knowledge of nonprofit finance, budgeting, accounting, and resource allocation.

·         Communication Skills: Ability to persuasively convey TRF's mission and accomplishments to diverse audiences.

·         Strategic Thinking: Skilled at setting vision, analyzing data, and developing strategies.
