District Technology Committee Member

Position Summary:

As a member of the Rotary District Technology Committee, you will play a crucial role in advancing the technological capabilities of both the district and its individual clubs. Your expertise will help modernize communication strategies, enhance online presence, and facilitate the use of technology in Rotary operations. This position requires a hands-on approach to assist clubs in adopting new technologies and improving their digital footprint.

The individual should be prepared to work closely with various stakeholders, providing both strategic insight and practical support to enhance Rotary's digital and technological practices.

Term:

One year, renewable

Key Responsibilities:

One or more of the following:

·         Club Support: Work directly with clubs to evaluate and enhance their use of technology, including social media platforms, websites, and the Rotary.org website.

·         Training: Develop and deliver training sessions for club members on utilizing current technologies and digital tools effectively.

·         District Communications: Collaborate with the district's Public Image Committee to ensure a cohesive and modern approach to district-level communications.

·         Technology Solutions: Identify technology gaps at the club and district levels and propose solutions to address them.

·         Workshops and Seminars: Assist in planning and conducting technology-focused workshops and seminars at district events.

·         Innovation: Stay abreast of technological trends and innovations that could benefit the district and its clubs.

·         Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clubs as needed.

Requirements:

One or more of the following:

·         Current Technology Experience: Experience with modern technology platforms, including social media, website management, and/or online collaboration tools.

·         Rotary Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Rotary.org and the ability to train others in its use.

·         Problem-solving: Ability to assess the current technological state of clubs and work collaboratively to find effective solutions.

·         Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.

·         Collaborative Spirit: Willingness to work with multiple clubs and committees, providing support and guidance in technology adoption and use.

·         Enthusiasm for Improvement: A proactive approach to seeking out and implementing technological improvements within the Rotary framework.
