The District Youth Protection Officer develops and implements youth safety policies and procedures for all Rotary youth programs within the district. This involves administering background checks, delivering training, monitoring compliance, and addressing issues.
District Governor
One year, appointable for up to 3 years
· Develop district youth protection policies aligned with Rotary guidelines.
· Manage background check processes for all Rotary youth program volunteers.
· Provide youth protection training and resources across the district.
· Monitor club compliance with youth protection policies and mandated reporting.
· Address any youth safety incidents, concerns, or policy violations at district events or within clubs.
· Maintain confidential documentation related to background checks, training, and incidents.
· Deliver regular youth protection compliance updates to district leadership.
· In-depth knowledge of Rotary youth protection guidelines.
· Relevant professional experience with youth safety policies.
· Strong communication, training, and investigative skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion.
· Commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of young people.
· Diplomatic yet firm in enforcing policies.
