Finance Committee Chair

Position Summary:

The Finance Committee Chair oversees the district's financial policies, procedures, and reporting. This involves recommending the annual district budget, monitoring spending, managing investments, and ensuring strong financial controls. The Chair leads the Finance Committee in safeguarding district assets.

District Governor

Term:

One year, renewable for up to 3 years

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead the Finance Committee in developing the annual district budget.

·         Make recommendations on district financial policies and investment strategies.

·         Ensure accurate financial reporting and transparency.

·         Oversee district bank accounts, accounting, and audits.

·         Monitor district spending and adherence to the approved budget.

·         Manage district investments wisely to maintain sustainability.

·         Implement strong financial controls and risk management practices.

·         Educate district leaders on finance policies and the budget process.

·         Lead Finance Committee meetings and delegate tasks.
